Implicit Neural Deformation for Sparse‐View Face Reconstruction

چکیده

In this work, we present a new method for 3D face reconstruction from sparse-view RGB images. Unlike previous methods which are built upon morphable models (3DMMs) with limited details, leverage an implicit representation to encode rich geometric features. Our overall pipeline consists of two major components, including geometry network, learns deformable neural signed distance function (SDF) as the representation, and rendering render on-surface points SDF match input images via self-supervised optimization. To handle in-the-wild same target different expressions at test time, propose residual latent code effectively expand shape space learned well novel view-switch loss enforce consistency among views. experimental results on several benchmark datasets demonstrate that our approach outperforms alternative baselines achieves superior compared state-of-the-art methods.

Anatomy-based face reconstruction for animation using multi-layer deformation

This paper presents a novel multi-layer deformation (MLD) method for reconstructing animatable, anatomy-based human facial models with minimal manual intervention. Our method is based on adapting a prototype model with the multi-layer anatomical structure to the acquired range data in an ‘‘outside-in’’ manner: deformation applied to the external skin layer is propagated along with the subsequen...

Free - Form Deformation for Implicit Surfaces

Implicit surfaces offer many advantages for sketch-based modeling systems, such as blending, CSG, and a procedural object hierarchy. Free-form deformation (FFD) is also extremely useful in this context, however existing FFD approaches do not support implicit surface representations, and FFD lattice manipulation is time-consuming compared to sketch-based techniques. In this thesis, an FFD techni...

Incremental Deformation Subspace Reconstruction

Recalculating the subspace basis of a deformable body is a mandatory procedure for subspace simulation, after the body gets modified by interactive applications. However, using linear modal analysis to calculate the basis from scratch is known to be computationally expensive. In the paper, we show that the subspace of a modified body can be efficiently obtained from the subspace of its original...

Face identification by deformation measure

This paper studies the problem of face identification for the particular application of an automatic cash machine withdrawal: the problem is to decide if a person identifying himself by a secret code is the same person registered in the data base. The identification process consists of three main stages. The localization of salient features is obtained by using morphological operators and spati...

Self-Organising Maps for Implicit Surface Reconstruction

This paper proposes an implicit surface reconstruction algorithm based on Self-Organising Maps (SOMs). The SOM has the connectivity of a regular 3D grid, each node storing its signed distance from the surface. At each iteration of the basic algorithm, a new training set is created by sampling regularly along the normals of the input points. The main training iteration consists of a competitive ...
